Every year there is a Halloween Party at Steve's work. The children all get dressed up in their costumes and go from office to office, cubicle to cubicle collecting candy and showing off their "cuteness" or their "you look just like your Daddy-ness". They make a haul. Really, there is no need to go treat-or-treating in the great outdoors when you can get it all done in a warm, comfortable enviornment and in a fraction of the time.
There is one particularly profitable stop just a few doors down from Steve, at Scott's office. While everyone else had a little pumpkin bucket sitting on their desk with the usual Halloween fare, Scott had not one stack, but multiple stacks of king size candy bars and theater box candies on his desk. You know that phrase, "like a kid in a candy shop"? You should have seen my kids eyes light up when they walked into Scott's office, where he offered them not one, but two choices from his array of enticing treats.
Well, the kids made their selections and went on, enjoying the remainder of their trick-or-treating and some snacks and activities as well. On their way out, which required walking by Scott's office again, they were invited to choose yet another treat from Scott's desk. The boys were polite, but readily agreed. Sydney, on the other hand, looked at that stack of treats, looked at her heavily laden bag of treats and said, "I have enough." Steve and I looked at each other and wondered whose child this could be...

So so cute!
Bless her, she's a little dear. Not related to me though, I's take another piece. O course now I can't have any.
I miss those kids!!! Ok, next post must be pictures of the kids in costume. (Kelly, you really are a story teller as well as a photographer.)
