One of the first things Ann did after she arrived was to pull out her camera and start taking pictures. Ann is really a great photographer, and I think she took a couple hundred pictures of the kids while she was here, I kid you not! Funny though, I don't remember her taking many of me or Steve, hmmm... wonder why! And so, I share with you some of the pictures Ann took. I start off with Carter as Grandma has been wondering what he is up to these days (I promise more to come soon!)...
Ann caught Spencer doing one of his favorite things, totally oblivious to the world...
Sam came home one day with a bug-catching kit, so out the kids went to find some bugs. They found several "rolly-polies", but not much else...
Ann got to come to a couple of soccer games. The boys were thrilled to have her there to cheer them on. It was a very cold and windy morning, so Carter and I stayed home, but Ann documented the games quite well. All I had to do was push the forward button on the camera and I felt like I was watching a video. I think the other parents there must have thought we had hired ourselves a photographer, she got some awesome shots. I share with you just some of the best...
See how cold!
Notice the concentration on Tyler's face...
See the size difference here? You would think Tyler was playing against sixteen year olds...
But, despite size difference, Tyler is undaunted!
Here are a couple from Sam's game.
If you look carefully in the background you will see Sam's coach, he's a real hottie...
Not only did Ann take some awesome pictures, she also made some awesome food! Since Ann is the expert Gnocchi maker, we conned her into making some for us while she was here...
She did put Tyler and Sam to work however, and taught them the fine art of rolling Gnocchis. Now that they are trained we will put them to work in the future!

Here is Steve's food photography. I think he secretly wants to quit his job and become a food photographer instead!
The night before Ann left we decided to party it up with BBque, some homemade ice cream (YUM) and a few games of Bags. What is Bags you ask? I think it is kind of a Midwestern thing. Basically a glorified version of a beanbag toss, with rules similar to horseshoes.
Ann was a fierce competitor! Thanks Ann! We love you!
