Pictures for Grandma

Mom has been requesting more pictures for a few days, so here I am finally getting some posted... Sorry it took so long Mom! The first few are Carter's first day home, his siblings were quite enamored with him from the very beginning, and Carter was amazingly patient!

Here Tyler is playing "Peek-a-boo" with Carter...

And there they all are, count them, five young Gordons... Yikes!
The kids have all been big helpers with Carter, from holding him to fetching diapers and blankets, they all love to help. The boys especially love to hold him...

And here are a few close-ups. Here Carter is waving to Grandma...
I don't know, but this next picture reminds me of Grandpa Gordon...
Well, that's all for now. I'll try to do better in the future!

Christmas Backtrack!

Since I am so far behind, I thought I might backtrack a little and see what I could make up. So, here are a few favorite pictures from Christmas at the Gordon House...

Decorating the Christmas Tree!

Making cookies for Santa (and a few for us as well, of course!)

One very sweet tradition: Dad's famous Cinnamon Rolls...
Tyler's new snowboard (not pictured is Tyler's new snowboard helmet!)
One of my favorite parts of Christmas this year was watching Sydney. She was hilarious when opening her presents! She would keep saying, "Ohh! Ohh!" in a truly delighted voice. Then when she finally got her present open it would be, "Oh, I love it! Oh, Merry Christmas! Oh, I love playdoh!!" This was always followed by Thanks and Hugs. So much fun!
Well, there you have a quick recap of our fun Christmas. We missed having family visit, but we did enjoy all the time Steve was able to take off, and lots of time to just play together! We need Christmas Break more often!

Concert Time!

I am really in a blogging slump, but I don't think I am the only one. I am going to try to do better, but we won't expect too much with a "little interruption" coming in a couple of weeks...

The big event this week was Spencer's Holiday Concert (which was rescheduled from December because of weather). Spencer is in Fifth Grade Band and he plays the clarinet, and I think he is really enjoying it. So, Wednesday night we ventured out to the Intermediate School for a great musical event...
I was surprised how big the fifth grade band is, here they are playing sweet music...

You might be able to pick Spencer out in this picture, doesn't he look so musical?! I was really impressed with how well this band is doing! And, especially considering they hadn't practiced since Dec. 15th! I thought we would hear a lot of squeeky instruments, but I really didn't hear much squeeking at all!
Here is a little sample of the concert. This is "Jolly Old St. Nicholas"...

After the kids were done playing, they each got to pick a parent or adult to come and learn to play a song. Spencer asked Steve to give it a try...And then the parents got to perform for everyone... Here is an exclusive video of The Parents Band, the picture isn't great, but at least you can enjoy the beautiful music...
